Yep it’s on again, the Cactus Black Rail Jam is back in 2008.  The dates are now set in Snow and the we are proud to say that FORUM SNOWBOARDS are also back on board again. South Coast Boardriders recently held their 3rd competion of the 07/08 season at Sandy Pt .The event was sponsored by a great supporter of the club Cactus Black Surf Skate and Snow , who supplied fantastic prizes for compettitors over all the age groups.The weather on the day was not kind to us with a strong onshore wind and 2ft swell but 30 surfers still turned up and were able to get some waves during the day. The highlight of the day probably being the standard of surfing in the mens final , with some excellent waves ridden by everyone and only a couple of points seperating 1st to 6th after 25 minutes. Good to see 9 competitors out there in the over 40,s having a go with a couple of not so good headstands being attempted as well as a few other moves rarely seen on a surfboard , all had some fun. Presentations were held at the Sandy Pt hall at the end of the day and all enjoyed the BBQ food which was supplied by Foster IGA, and the many prizes handed out.
