The Streetwise Skateboard development program saw over 100 participants across East Gippsland take advantage of the opportunity to get involved in freestyle sports with the assistance of professional coaches.

The Streetwise program visited the East Gippsland communities of Mallacoota, Orbost, Lakes Entrance and Bairnsdale during the school holiday period. The program consisted of sessions designed for beginners, intermediate and advanced skaters. GippSport Program Coordinator, Morgan Cameron was very pleased with the outcome of the events across East Gippsland stating that “it was a fantastic opportunity for GippSport to partner with Skateboarding Australia and establish a working relationship with a Peak body that is not seen as a mainstream sport”.
